Faith Saves Ministries is dedicated to encouraging and engaging those in need through the love and life-saving promise of Jesus Christ. What is a ministry?
A ministry is dedicated to serving God and others by spreading the Gospel, meeting spiritual or physical needs, and fostering faith and community. It can take many forms—churches, non-profits, or individual callings—rooted in biblical mandates like Matthew 28:19–20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.” Ministries often involve teaching, outreach, charity, or worship, reflecting Christ’s love and service, as seen in the call to uplift others in Romans 12:15.Faith Saves Ministries, led by Michael Barber, encourages and engages those in need through Bible studies, on social media, and via tennis lessons in Manteo, North Carolina.Funds raised from these ministries are cheerfully donated to Christian non-profit organizations, such as the local church, those providing disaster relief, and local and global evangelism, amplifying God’s work across the world. Recipients of donations this year include Nags Head Church, Grace Evangelical Society, Insight for Living, THRU the Bible, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Navigators, and Source Church's food pantry program.
Statement of Faith
God
We believe that there is only one true God, existing in three distinct Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—who are co-equal in power, nature, and glory.
Salvation
We believe that faith alone in Jesus Christ alone guarantees everlasting life to whoever believes in Him for it. God's free gift of everlasting life, secured through Jesus' death and resurrection, can never be lost—once saved, always saved. If this life could be lost, Jesus would have chosen a different word than everlasting or eternal in verses such as John 3:16, 5:24, and 6:47.
Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the uniquely inspired Word of God. It serves as our blueprint for life and faith, having been written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit so that its words are fully reliable and without error in the original manuscripts.
Local Church
We believe that the local church is the primary, divinely ordained vehicle for God’s work on earth. Scripture describes the local church as the Body of Christ, where every member is vital and supernaturally gifted for the common good, and the Household of God, which serves as the pillar and foundation of the truth. We reject a detached or "lone ranger" Christianity, recognizing that spiritual maturity and protection are found under the loving oversight of elders and through the mutual accountability of a local flock, as we together fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).If you have not found a local church, we recommend an initial search of the churches listed on Grace Evangelical Society's church tracker webpage.

"No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." —Matthew 5:15-16
